Why do I need to sign a contract? 
A contract protects not only the client but also the DJ company. It basically outlines the responsiblities of both parties involved. Most vendors have contracts to sign, a DJ SHOULD be no different.

Do I pay the total up front? 
Yes you can.

Do I have to feed you at the event? 
If you would like to have a plate set aside for the dj, it would be greatly appreciated.
But, it is not necessary. My contract has a section on this

Do you use props, inflatables, etc..? 
No. Fusion Sounds is not that type of company.

Do you play "mashups"?
I do play some mashups. But I prefer to make up mashups on the fly. DJ's have been doing this for years, before they became a prerecorded craze.

What is DMX lighting? 
DMX lighting is a protocol that allows the entertainer to build lighting scenes via a DMX controller or software. DMX lighting creates a far more exciting atmosphere than a regular plug and play light.

I've never heard of RCF speakers. Alot of DJ's use JBL, Yamaha, Peavey, etc. Why don't you?
RCF speakers are made in Italy. They are perhaps the best kept secret in the DJ industry.
They produce great sound right out of the box. I chose this brand because ALOT of dj's use the other brands. I wanted something a little different. 

Do you use a wireless microphone system?
Yes I do. I also have a corded mic for a backup.

You have all your music on a hard drive. Do you download them from illegal sites?

I am a member of "Primecuts Weekly". I have been a member for well over 6 years. I rip the songs from my weekly disc. If there is a remix or other song I don't have I purchase that track from legal websites. 

Where do I meet you if we have a consultation?
We can meet either at your home. Or, we can meet at a nuetral public place. 

How early do you need to get into the hall to set up your equipment?
Typically, I like to gain access to the venue/hall approx 2 hours prior to the event start time
(More time is always better!)

How much time do you need after the event to pack up your equipment?
I like to have approx 1 hour to pack everything into the truck for departure. 

Why don't you DJ weddings?
Good question. My experience does not cover me for that type of event. Until I spend more time branching into the wedding field, I feel that it's not wise to market myself for these special events. A wedding is a bride's special day, I certainly don't want to be responsible for an unhappy day. I'm sure at some point I will dabble into this field though. 

Is the client required to tip the DJ?
Not at all. Tips are always appreciated though. 

Do you accept credit or debit cards? 
Yes! Once you check your date for availability, fill in the quote generator, and complete the contract booking proccess. There will be a gateway button to pay with Paypal. 

Does it cost me anything to use "Paypal"?
Nope, Nothing, Nada, Zilch 

Why shouldn't I just hook an IPOD to my stereo system. Why do I really need to pay for your services?
You indeed have the choice to use your IPOD, stereo system etc.. But, think of this. An ipod can't beatmix songs. An Ipod can't read a crowd. An IPOD Can't control the flow of the dancefloor with music programming and a light show.
If you are having a small gathering, then using an IPOD maybe ideal. But think about what type of atmosphere you REALLY want for your guests.

I have a 40th birthday that I want to book you for. By the look of your website, It doesn't look like you would be a good fit. It looks like you would handle clubs or rave type parties. Is this true?
Not at all. Don't let the looks of the website spook you. I can handle clubs, 50th birthdays and all kinds of events in between. Please don't judge a book by it's cover.

How can I submit a testimonial?
After your event is over. Your client area will automatically unlock so you can fill out an "Event Satisfaction Survey".

I want to give a testimonial, but I don't want to be used as a reference. Is this okay?
